Mille Founs sits on one of the region’s highest points and commands spectacular views for hundreds of miles to the south. Surrounded by rolling countryside and woodland, Mille Founs offers total privacy and relaxation in a unique location. The house is 4km from the charming village of Verfeil-Sur-Seye which has a bakery, bar and village store and about 13km from the medieval town of St Antonin Noble Val with its amazing architecture and renowned Sunday market.
Mille Founs is a sympathetic restoration of an old farmhouse and adjoining barn dating back many centuries, with wonderful original exposed oak beams, chestnut floors and stonework. The three large double bedrooms are arranged over three floors in the farmhouse, while the living areas and kitchen are situated in the spacious, open-plan converted barn with its impressive beamed roof structure.
The house is several minutes walk away from the nearest neighbours, offering total seclusion and tranquility with stunning views. The terrace in front of the house has a table and benches for dining al fresco and a BBQ.
The hill-top private swimming pool (10m x 5m) has Roman steps and is a constant depth of 1.3m. There are plenty of parasols and loungers arranged around the pool terrace for total relaxation and sunbathing. Pool toys are also provided for children and the pool area is fenced and gated for safety.
With many trees in the grounds, there are lots of shady spots for guests to sit and enjoy a good book. The extensive grounds and surrounding countryside offer plenty of opportunities for walks and nature lovers will be amazed by the varieties of wild flowers, butterflies and birds which fill this unspoiled corner of France.
We are pleased to provide excellent facilities for infants and children. The owners have 2 children of their own, who have enjoyed being able to play safely in the fields around the house, collecting flowers and watching insects and having the freedom to run about completely untroubled by traffic or other people.

What previous clients have said …
“Our 6th stay at Mille Founs and possibly the best yet (all so good it’s hard to judge). Tranquility epitomised!! Improvements to the house this year are excellent – WiFi so essential nowadays; new satellite TV with access to BBC/ITV and good stock of DVD’s – sad but comforting for cooler evenings. All pretty perfect for us … so here’s to the next time!”
“Spent one week at Mille Founs. Very off the beaten track, high up with far reaching views. Pool is good, loads of DVD’s and games etc, very spacious for the four of us. Perfect for out-of-the-way France”.
“My husband and I stayed with our daughter and her young family last summer and we will certainly be returning to is beautiful house set in the most stunning location. We had total peace and quiet in a very secluded hilltop location away from any traffic or other people yet Bly a short drive down the hil to pick up our daily baguette and croissants from the pretty village. he house itself is a wonderful old farmhouse and converted barn with a spectacular living area. The grounds led onto fields and woods and were very safe for the children. The pool is delightful and dinner on the terrace with views for hundreds of miles including the Pyrenees! My husband and I enjoyed the local markets and castles and great restaurants. my daughter’s family were not so keen on the cultural side but there was plenty for them to do kayaking on the Aveyron River, horse riding and swimming in the pool. This year we are taking our son and his family! Thoroughly recommended if you want a proper break!”
