The Property
The property has been carefully restored over recent years, ensuring that many of the original features such as exposed and dressed stonework have been retained. Like many houses of this style there are low beams and steep internal staircases. The main living area, on the first floor, has a dining area, comfortable lounge area and well equipped, compact kitchen which has been lovingly updated. There is a bedroom on this floor and a further two bedrooms on the second floor.
Passing through the gateway to the rear garden you come into the most delightful part of the property. Recently up-dated it is like a ‘secret’ garden with a swimming pool set in a ‘tapering’ meadow which has delightfully shaded areas. It is a perfect setting to while away those warm summer days.
Entry into the property is at ground floor level where, off the hallway is a shower-room and separate toilet. The staircase leads to the dining and living area and at the top of the stairs there is a double bedroom to the left.
The main accommodation is delightful and comfortable for 6 people and comprises of a small, fully fitted kitchen with a dining table, sitting area and an adjoining ‘souillard’ with a vaulted ceiling and ‘evier’ reached through a stone archway. There is a small balcony where some of you may wish to take the morning sun with your breakfast. There is a TV for use with the video player with a selection of videos, plenty of books, some games and a CD player.
An open staircase leads to the second floor which has been remodelled providing a spacious 7m x 4m room which can be used as a bedroom and/ or living area. From here there is a brand new bathroom with shower, basin and toilet and second bedroom with double bed. This whole floor has been renovated with additional velux windows.

What previous clients have said …
“We are from Germany and my teenage sons were not looking forward to this holiday as they remembered French houses being dark and unwelcoming. Imagine our delight when we felt this house really welcome us in – it was a happy place, open and airy and we all loved it and it brought our family together again. At the end of this lovely holiday we all wanted to come back next year””.
“We have been to La Salesse 3 times now. We love the house that is so well equipped and comfortable – it is better than our own! The pool and garden is wonderful, and so peaceful. The garden is big enough for the kids to play and “hide” and yet be within calling distance, and the pool is safe for the little ones and yet good for real swimming”.
We absolutely loved la Salesse…. I was happiest there than I’ve been in ages. (It’s been a tough year, dad died in Jan). Window screens were great at La Salesse… and made life there more comfortable. No bites. The pool and view were stunning, and we occasionally had swallows dip in the pool for a drink in the eve which was amazing. The setting of La Salesse made it feel very private. Any way, I’d love to return to La Salesse. SHEFFIELD party (August 2019)
Sorry we meant to write in your visitors book before we left! We had a lovely week in your beautiful home relaxing in the glorious peace and tranquility! The weather was kind so much time spent relaxing by the pool and on the two cloudy days made the most of exploring the area. A jolly evening in Parisot on the last night, the French do love their karioke!! We did some watering to ensure the beautiful plants didn’t suffer in the heat. I was intrigued by what I think was a smooth snake living in the hole in the wall on the left as you through the gate up to the pool…..it gave me quite a shock as it slithered away into the wall! The house was perfect, everything that we needed and many thanks for the basket of goodies that surprised and delighted us on our arrival. BAGNALL party (August 2019)
