Unforgettable Memories at Our French Country Houses.

The house was lovely, well equipped and obviously very well loved, not at all like staying in a holiday place but someone's home and the pool was beautiful. We also saw loads of wildlife, red squirrel, pine marten, loads of deer, boar and the highlight was watching a beautiful kingfisher fishing while we had lunch at Le Moulin. It even came and sat on the windowsill right next to our table!

BROMWICH family, August 2024 LA SALESSE

Nice house and as described, was well equipped and a with refreshing pool, in a good location to visit St Antonin, Caussade and other towns. Quiet and private location.

BAKER family, August 2024 PESSO LOUNGO

We stayed at Clauzel for 2 blissful weeks this summer. It was probably one of the most relaxing holidays we've had so far. The house (well equipped kitchen, lots of social space, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms), the view (oh the view!), the good sized swimming pool and the large garden all made our stay a perfect one. You definitely need a car, but places like the lovely Najac, the Parisot Lake and many other places are literally 10-15 minutes away - so you have a good balance between rural idyll and busier places. The Parisot bakery is the closest place to get bread for the morning/lunch. The night market at Najac was one of the best we've been to. All in all a truly wonderful place to stay - we would absolutely recommend this place to everyone we know as long as they don't book it up!

EDWARDS family, August 2024 CLAUZEL

We had an amazing holiday! La Salesse was perfect. It was well equipped for all of our needs and the pool was a great hit with us all and all in such a beautiful area. Hopefully we can come back again very soon and will definitely recommend.

RALPH family, August 2024 LA SALESSE

We very much enjoyed our week staying at this lovely house. it has been very tastefully renovated with excellent materials and design, to create an airy, relaxing and beautiful property. Whilst in the heart of St Antonin, it is not noisy, and enjoys a large open but private terrace. It is a very short walk from the fantastic open air public swimming pool, and from a number of excellent restaurants and cafes

SMITH, August 2024 LE CLUZEL

Had a great break here. All the amenities that you need for a holiday and more. Pool was a great reilef in the hot weather. Plenty for the 2 of us. Local town very friendly and helpful. Will come back again.

ERRINGTON, August 2024 PESSO LOUNGO

We had a lovely time in La Salesse—it's a super house, and the pool is absolutely fantastic. The welcome basket was particularly appreciated after our long drive down from Cherbourg, and the information in the house was really helpful. The location was also ideal for visiting local towns and markets, which we thoroughly enjoyed!

BROOME, August 2024 LA SALESSE

We have loved both our trips to Mazerac. Wonderful house, beautiful surroundings and the pool is spectacular. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back

SHINGLER, August 2024 MAZERAC

We very much enjoyed Roussergues and it had all we could need. Phillipe was always helpful and excellent at keeping the pool gleaming. We loved Caylus and enjoyed the tiny roads of the locality to cycle along. We've holidayed in France in Gites for 20+ years and Roussergues did not disappoint. Recommended without hesitation.

LUSCOMBE Family, July 2024 ROUSSERGUES

After many years of hopping around various French properties and locations for our vacations, we found Mazerac. We've never previously returned to a property. This year was our third family visit and, if events allow, we will return again. It's beautifully situated in quiet, peaceful countryside with an amazing view from the front of the house that we never tire of. Nearby Puylaroque has all of the amenities you need, including a fantastic boulangerie with excellent espresso for those early morning breakfast runs. The house is welcoming and relaxed, offering everything you'd need for a contented holiday. Bedrooms are comfortable and well-appointed, and downstairs is an open plan area of kitchen, dining room, inglenook and reading snug that leads into a covered patio area where we ate the vast majority of our meals. The kitchen, in conjunction with the utility room, sequestered in a separate room across from the house, has every amenity you could wish for, including a very efficient fridge and freezer (the joys of cold beer and sauvignon blanc!). There are numerous games, books, toys, bicycles and other distractions to be enjoyed should you find yourself in need, although we find that the fantastic pool was all we required. It's salt water, luscious and a luxurious way to pass the time. I could ramble on, but I won't. Is Mazerac worth renting for your holiday?. Unequivocally yes, but just try not to book it when we want to go.....

PATERSON, July 2024 MAZERAC

We had a lovely time at Mille Founs, and a great holiday. The house and setting is great, lovely views, lots of space, peace and quiet. It was quite hot on several days, but the plentiful shade of the big trees by the house really made a big difference, and it was the perfect combination of shade by the house and sunshine at the pool.

TAPP, June 2024 MILLE FOUNS

We liked the situation of the house very much and it was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The pool and lawn were well maintained. The kitchen was well supplied and the living room comfy (though we didn't use it much!!) It was lovely to eat on the balcony with the view of the river.

GWYNN, June 2024 LA CONDAMINE

We enjoyed our stay and we were lucky to have good weather. We love the setting and views across to the river. The house is comfortable and had everything we needed and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace, the pool and surrounding seating area and sun loungers.

REDMAN June 2024 LA CONDAMINE

We've just returned from a very relaxing week's stay at this lovely house. We loved the location right next to the church (which was never used during our stay). The little hamlet is wonderfully peaceful but didn't feel isolated and is not too far from amenities. The stunning view stretches for miles. The house is large and so well-equipped for both adults and children and the pool and terrace are ideal. The large loggia meant that we could sit outside even during a couple of thunder storms in the evening. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. The booking process was so easy and completely stress-free. Jayne and Suzanne were super-helpful throughout. We would definitely stay there again.

REEVE, June 2023 MAZERAC

Many thanks for giving us the opporunity of staying in such a lovely french home. We have loved our visit to Clauzel. Making use of the facilities, especially the pool, which heated to a perfect temperature. The views are fantastic and the hammock chair was a favourite spot. We made the journey to Monteils for our daily croissaants, delicious, but get here early! We had a ovely easy (flat!) bike ride along the Aveyron River, enjoyed the night market at Najac and a particular highlight for the children was definately the river swimming at Laguepie. Lovely to be back holidaying in France in the summer again and Clauzel has made it all the more amazing. We hope to be back soon.

SHILITTO family, August 2022 CLAUZEL

Perfect as usual! Nice location, quite area. Very nice place to stay. The kids love the garden and swimming pool. The person in charge takes care of everything to make sure you have a stressless stay

CLAESEN family, July 2022 CLAUZEL

This was our 3rd stay at this property. We fell in love with the house and the location the first time we went there in 2012. We have been back twice since and the location and settings is just perfect for us as a family. It is a very long way to drive to from UK but if you are seeking a week or two to just sit back and enjoy great weather, wine and food, then it is worth the effort. From the house you can attend daily village markets which are all worth it. Sunday morning market at St Antonin sur Val is superb ( go early to get parking space) and Thursday morning at Villefranche de Rouergue is just bigger and wilder. Najac is another village nearby voted as one of the most beautiful in France and worth the detour. The property itself is great and the addition of wifi is most welcome.

August 2022 ROUSSERGUES

We have been coming to St Antonin Noble Val for more than a decade and Le Cluzel has become our home away from home. For a stay in the heart of this delightful medieval (and car-free) village Le Cluzel is unequalled for its location, elegance, comfort and space. Many of our evenings are spent on the large terrace with its table-for-eight and views over tiled rooftops and wooded hills; mornings we are one minute's walk to fresh patisseries and grande cremes at the Cafe de la Halle in the peaceful, jolly central Place.... The owners' good taste is reflected not only in Cluzel's antiques, art and architecture but in their excellent staff - Jayne, the administrator and Sally, the local manager could not be more helpful and accommodating. We have tried a number of homes in the area over the years, but Cluzel remains absolutely our first choice.

Summer 2022 LE CLUZEL

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at La Barabie. Thank you so much Bill, for your kindness and hospitality.

DEFAUT family, Summer 2021 LA BARABIE

MILLE FOUNS: We just want to say that we had a fantastic holiday in Mille Founs this year. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. It was peaceful, relaxing, adventurous, cultural and very hot! All just what we needed! The house, garden and pool were perfect and plenty hills for the boys to cycle around! Many thanks for making our stay very stress free. Also, Marcus was very helpful and friendly!”

EASTHAUGH family, Summer 2022 MILLE FOUNS

Thank you Bill for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. The boys have enjoyed the pool and grounds enormously. Thank you for being so accommodating with all our sporting endeavours and for being so kind and understanding with our dog, Oscar. You really helped us to relax. Hope the weather can make its mind up soon but a few cloudy days have not stopped us from having a fun-filled holiday”

MUNRO family, Summer 2021 LA BARABIE

We absolutely loved la Salesse…. I was happiest there than I’ve been in ages. (It’s been a tough year, dad died in Jan). Window screens were great at La Salesse… and made life there more comfortable. No bites. The pool and view were stunning, and we occasionally had swallows dip in the pool for a drink in the eve which was amazing. The setting of La Salesse made it feel very private. Any way, I’d love to return to La Salesse.

SHEFFIELD family, Summer 2021 LA SALESSE

Sorry we meant to write in your visitors book before we left! We had a lovely week in your beautiful home relaxing in the glorious peace and tranquility! The weather was kind so much time spent relaxing by the pool and on the two cloudy days made the most of exploring the area. A jolly evening in Parisot on the last night, the French do love their karioke!! We did some watering to ensure the beautiful plants didn’t suffer in the heat. I was intrigued by what I think was a smooth snake living in the hole in the wall on the left as you through the gate up to the pool…..it gave me quite a shock as it slithered away into the wall! The house was perfect, everything that we needed and many thanks for the basket of goodies that surprised and delighted us on our arrival.

BAGNALL family, Summer 2020 LA SALESSE

Many thanks to you and Marcus for making our stay in Mille Founs so enjoyable. It is a fantastic view from the terrace, and we made full use of the pool with the weather being so good.”

TILEY family, Summer 2019 MILLE FOUNS

The views around this house are absolutely stunning and it’s been one of the best places we have stayed in years … The pool is great fun to swim in and the man who looks after the pool, Richard, is a great help. The house is warm and cosy and it has been such a joy to stay here, I hope we can come back. Thank you so much Clauzel”
